Manual Orders

To create a manual order:

  • Choose "Customers -> Create Order..." from either the Just Ship IT main toolbar or the menu from the Customer grid.  This will create a blank order, associated to the selected Customer and can be indentifed by the JustShipIT icon in the top right hand corner.  See the illustration below.

It is necessary to create a customer before creating a manual order. 


Order Numbers


When creating manual orders, Just Ship IT must assign a unique order number to the order.  Order number assignment options are controlled on the Order Setup tab of the Tools Options window.

  • The prefix and suffix for manual orders can be configured by the user. 
  • The current order number that follows is incremented automatically by Just Ship IT.  But can be changed by the user.  This is necessary to ensure there are no conflicts with order numbers generated by your online store.
  • The numerical padding length as in the example above set the length of the order number.
